Even though Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks lost against the Portland Trail Blazers, there’s no love lost between the former and his previous team. Of course, there’s no one better to speak about this matter than Dame’s former teammate, Anfernee Simons.
In that particular game, the Trail Blazers won against Milwaukee with a score of 119-116. Simons led the way for Portland by dropping 24 points, three rebounds, and five assists, while Deandre Ayton contributed a double-double of his own by adding 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bucks, meanwhile, had three starters who scored 20 or more points. The duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard combined for 52 points, while Khris Middleton notched 21 points in 34 minutes.
This is the second consecutive loss after Milwaukee fell to the Denver Nuggets recently. Also, the Bucks haven’t won yet, with Doc Rivers assuming the head coaching gig after the franchise fired Adrian Griffin recently.
Anfernee Drops True Feelings About Facing Damian Lillard in His Return As Part of the Milwaukee Bucks
After the game, Simons shared his thoughts on how it felt having Lillard back in Portland as part of the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the interview, Simons reiterated how weird it was facing Lillard in a different uniform. The Trail Blazers star entered the NBA in 2018 and has spent five seasons with the Bucks’ starting point guard.
This contest is considered the first game Lillard has against his former team. And even though it ended in a loss, the second one for Rivers as head coach, there will always be a lot of love between the All-Star point guard and the team that gave him the start of his illustrious career.
