Another game, another loss for the Doc Rivers-mentored Milwaukee Bucks, as they fell prey to the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night, 119-116.
Milwaukee Bucks Still Finding Their Footing in the Doc Rivers Era
It appears that Rivers and the Bucks are still trying to be on the same page. After the game, Rivers lamented about the lack of communication of his team that contributed to the downfall of the Bucks against Damian Lillard’s former team.
“We have to be a better talking team,” Rivers told reporters after the Bucks went down again under his watch.

The loss did not just highlight the challenge for Rivers to get it together on the sidelines but also spoiled Lillard’s hopes of scoring a win in his return to his old NBA home. Lillard spent his first 11 seasons in the pros with the Blazers, who denied him and the Bucks a win by holding their own down the stretch. The Bucks blew a chance to score a major basket in the waning moments of the game when Brook Lopez missed a 3-point shot that many believed he should have passed on to Lillard.
In any case, the Bucks will have to move on and look forward to their next assignment which will be another marquee showdown on Saturday versus Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
