Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard stole the show in the third quarter of Wednesday’s high-profile matchup against the Indiana Pacers. This is after the seven-time All-Star climbed the leaderboards for the most career 3-pointers in NBA history.
Historic Dame Time Moment
Now with 2,451 triples to his name, Lillard holds the record for the fifth most 3-pointers of all time. In the process, the Bucks point guard surpassed Kyle Korver, who will now need to settle for the No. 6 spot.
Korver sent out a special message to Dame immediately after Lillard’s historic moment:
“Dame Lillard,” Korver started. “Congratulations, man. You are now in the Top 5 all time. All time! For three-pointers made in a career. Not many people can say that they are Top 5 in anything. I used to be able to say that. Thank you. Not anymore. But that’s okay. Because, you know, you’re one of the guys that’s changed the game. You are.
“I’ve always admired watching you shoot and pulling from things that I would watch from your play, from your mechanics. Congratulations. Well-deserved. Keep on going. One day people will be coming after you, and it’s all good because ultimately, that just means the game is getting better. So congrats, man. All the best to you. Keep firing away.”
“You’re one of those guys that’s changed the game.”

Well said, Kyle.
Kyle Korver’s History With Milwaukee Bucks
In case you forgot, Korver has a bit of history with the Bucks. He suited up for Milwaukee during the 2019-20 season, which happened to be the final year of his decorated career. During that final season, the 6-foot-7 swingman averaged 6.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.7 triples on a 41.8-percent clip.
The former All-Star decided to call time on his career after his swansong in Milwaukee.
