Milwaukee Bucks’ Cam Payne Drops Truth Bomb on Indiana Pacers Ahead of Revenge Game

All eyes are set on Wednesday’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers. For the Bucks, there’s an added layer to the narrative as they look to exact some revenge on the same team that eliminated them in the semifinal of the NBA In-Season Tournament.

Be that as it may, Milwaukee remains cautiously wary of what Tyrese Haliburton and Co. bring to the table.

At this point, there’s no denying that the Pacers are the real deal. They may have been living in basketball purgatory over the past several years, but it now appears that they are on the brink of becoming a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference — if they aren’t already.

Just ask Bucks guard Cam Payne.

“For the past few years, you go to Indiana, it’s not the playoff atmosphere that you’re expecting. Now it is,” Payne said. “Now you gotta be up and be ready to play Indiana, which is a token to them guys. Shout out to them. Just gotta make sure you’re ready, man. They coming to bring it. They beat us two times so you really gotta be on high alert.”

"They play a lot of random basketball, so you don't necessarily get a steady dose of the same thing. … You've got to be up and be ready to play Indiana, which is a token to [those] guys. Shout out to them."

As Payne touched on, it’s not just last Thursday’s loss in the IST that the Bucks are reeling from. Earlier this season, the Pacers also took down Milwaukee in another tight encounter in Indiana. They’re now 2-0 this season against the Bucks, and you can be sure that the Pacers have every intention of making it three straight wins over their Central Division rivals come Tuesday night.

Payne and the rest of the squad, however, will have other ideas in mind.
