So much was said during the build-up of Thursday’s NBA In-Season Tournament semifinal bout between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers.
Unfortunately for Bucks superstar Damian Lillard, he just wasn’t able to back it up on the court in the first half of action.

The Pacers entered halftime with a 63-51 lead over the Bucks. This had a lot to do with Lillard putting up a clunker in the first two quarters of play. The seven-time All-Star finished the half with just four points on 2-of-10 shooting, to go along with two rebounds, four assists, and two turnovers. He also went 0-of-3 from distance.
This is definitely not the type of performance the fans were expecting from Lillard in such a big game, and they had to let their feelings known on Twitter:

The good news for Dame is that there are still two full quarters to play in this one, giving him an opportunity to turn things around.
Tyrese Haliburton Leads the Way for Pacers
As expected, Tyrese Haliburton was integral to Indiana’s success in the first half. The budding superstar logged 11 points and seven assists, while also knocking down one triple.
The Bucks, on the other hand, have Giannis Antetokounmpo to thank for almost single-handedly keeping them in this one. The former back-to-back MVP had 20 points in the first half on 7-of-10 from the floor, with six boards, an assist, and a block.
