Fans will be treated to a Central Division rivalry showdown between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. Unfortunately, there could be a shortage of star power in the contest, particularly on Chicago’s side.
DeMar DeRozan has popped up on the injury report ahead of the game, and the six-time All-Star is now in danger of being forced to sit out against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co.
DeMar DeRozan Questionable Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
DeRozan was unable to finish Tuesday’s game against the Boston Celtics. The three-time All-NBA guard/forward left early due to a sore left ankle. This was shortly after Zach LaVine also exited the game due to a foot injury.
Neither star was able to return, although the fact that the contest was a total blowout in favor of Boston may have played a significant role in Chicago’s decision to sit their two stars for the remainder of the game.
At this point, DeRozan’s status for Thursday’s clash is up in the air. This is after the Bulls listed him as questionable to play. This is sounding more like a game-time decision for DeRozan, so we will likely find out what his final status is close to tipoff.
Apart from DeRozan, the Bulls have also listed Zach LaVine (right foot soreness) and Alex Caruso (left toe strain) as questionable to play. Lonzo Ball has yet to play this season as he continues to rehab his left knee, and he certainly won’t be available on Tuesday against the Bucks.
