Former Milwaukee Bucks guard Bryn Forbes is in hot water right now. This is after reports emerged on Tuesday that the 30-year-old had been arrested in San Antonio, Texas after assaulting the mother of his two children.
Forbes, who helped the Bucks win the title duing the 2020-21 season, appears to remain in police custody as of writing.
Former Milwaukee Bucks Guard Bryn Forbed Arrested
The news was first reported by investigative reporter Mariah Medina of News 4 San Antonio:
“JUST IN: Bryn Forbes has been arrested on a 3rd degree felony charge of assault strangulation/choking of a family member. Sources say a warrant was issued for his arrest yesterday,” Medina reported.
The news has since been picked up by multiple NBA outlets on social media, including NBA Central:

Medina also reported that this is not the first time Forbes has been in legal trouble. On February of 2023, the 6-foot-2 shooting guard was arrested on a family violence charge. The case was dismissed in June of that same year after he completed a pretrial diversion program.
Bryn Forbes Court Documents, Released
Unfortunately, that’s not the end-all of this shocking case. Medina was also able to get a hold of the court documents, which reveal the horrific details of the incident:
According to court documents, Forbes struck the mother of his two children before choking her.

Forbes played 70 games for the Bucks during the 2020-21 campaign, where he averaged 10.0 points and 1.6 rebounds, while also knocking down 2.2 triples per game on a 45.2-percent clip.
Last season, he suited up for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who waived him in February of last year (incidentally, a few days before he was arrested for assault). He has been out of the league since.
Forbes has also had stints with the Denver Nuggets and the San Antonio Spurs, where he spent the first four seasons of his career.
