Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave was a rookie a season ago. He was a second-round pick from Oregon State. This season, Musgrave is projected to be the starting tight end. The backup tight end is projected to be Tucker Kraft.
Musgrave missed several games last season because of a lacerated kidney. Kraft did a nice job in his place, but the Green Bay Packers can very well use both tight ends this season in the offense.

Luke Musgrave caught 34 passes for 352 yards receiving and one touchdown, along with averaging 10.4 yards per catch. He was targeted 46 times. Musgrave did not have a single game last season of over 100 yards receiving.
CBS Sports Analyst Zachary Pereles Has Green Bay Packers Tight End Luke Musgrave As One of the 50 Under the Radar Players For the 2024 Season

On Wednesday, it was officially 50 days away from the start of the 2024 NFL season. CBS Sports Analyst Zachary Pereles created an article about 50 under-the-radar players who could shape the 2024 NFL season. Each team had at least one player on the list.
Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave made this list. The reasoning that Perles gave was as follows:
“The Packers’ wide receiver room is crowded with talent and has several candidates for this list, but perhaps the tight end Musgrave is the best fit. Musgrave was Green Bay’s top tight end from the get go and had solid debut, albeit one interrupted by injury. His 32 yards receiving per game may not seem like a lot, but they were the second most by any Packers tight end under Matt LaFleur. Musgrave is a big, natural pass catcher who can line up wherever and really run.”
Musgrave feels like the forgotten player in the Packers offense. Everyone will want to talk about either Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, Romeo Doubs, or Jayden Reed. Green Bay will also have Josh Jacobs and rookie running back Marshawn Lloyd in the backfield.
The point is that the Packers will have many offensive weapons on this team. What makes this team dangerous is they don’t have a true number-one target for quarterback Jordan Love. If Luke Musgrave can stay healthy for all 17 games this season, he could have over 500 yards receiving and have at least five touchdowns for Green Bay.

Love likes to throw to his tight ends. When Musgrave was out with an injury, Kraft stepped up. Tucker Kraft caught 31 passes for 355 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 11.5 yards per catch. He was also targeted 40 times.
Kraft was a third-round pick from South Dakota State in 2023. Musgrave will be playing a huge role in the Packers’ offense this season.
