The Milwaukee Bucks had to navigate Saturday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks without Brook Lopez on the floor. This was after the former All-Star was unable to suit up due to personal reasons.
Fortunately, Milwaukee was still able to carve out a win in Dallas despite missing the services of their starting center. The Bucks are in action again on Sunday, this time battling the Utah Jazz in another road game. The bad news is that Lopez will miss a second straight game after the team ruled him out from Sunday’s contest.
Milwaukee Bucks Rule Out Brook Lopez for Jazz Game
The official reason behind Lopez’s now-two-game absence is “personal reasons.” No other details have been provided by the team, but the fact that he’s now being forced to miss two consecutive games could be a cause for concern.
Lopez suited up for the Bucks in the first two contests of this current five-game road stand, but it remains unclear if he is still with the team right now. All this puts his status for Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns in real jeopardy.
Bucks Could be Extremely Undermanned Vs. Jazz
Lopez is far from being the only big name on the injury report. Khris Middleton has already been ruled out due to injury management, while both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are also a doubt to play.
The silver lining here is that Giannis is probable with a right knee injury. Lillard, on the other hand, is questionable to play due to a left ankle sprain.
With Milwaukee dealing with multiple injuries to their stars, the rest of the squad will need to step it up in a major way on Sunday against Utah.
