After missing three straight games earlier this month due to personal reasons, Milwaukee Bucks big man Brook Lopez is back on the injury report. He is now dealing with what appears to be a new injury, which has put some doubt on his availability for Tuesday night’s matchup against the Miami Heat.
With tip-off just a few hours away, the fans want to know: Is Brook Lopez playing tonight vs. the Heat?
Milwaukee Bucks Star Brook Lopez Dealing With Back Injury
Lopez logged 29 minutes on Monday night in Milwaukee’s 112-95 statement win over the defending champions Denver Nuggets. This was the most minutes the 35-year-old has played since his return from his recent spell on the sidelines, and it appears that he may have come out of the game a bit worse for wear.
The Bucks initially listed Lopez as questionable to play against Miami, but the good news is that he has now been upgraded to probable. The 7-foot-1 center is currently nursing a sore back, which is a type of injury that could easily go both ways.
Nevertheless, given the fact that the Bucks upgraded Lopez ahead of their marquee Eastern Conference showdown against the Heat, there’s a big chance that he will be able to suit up. So, with regard to the question of is Brook Lopez playing tonight vs. the Heat, the answer is that he probably will.
UPDATE: Lopez has been given the green light and will start on Tuesday night:
All four players listed as probable (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pat Connaughton, Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez) have all avoided the inactive list.
Bucks starters:
Lillard
Malik Beasley
Jae Crowder
