It’s hard to deny that Bobby Portis has been one of the most important players on the Milwaukee Bucks roster this season. The veteran has been integral for the second unit as he consistently provides a scoring punch for Milwaukee off the bench.
This man does have his shortcomings for sure, but you can’t help but think that all the negativity that is thrown in his direction by some supporters seem to be unwarranted.
Milwaukee Bucks Vet Bobby Portis Addresses His Haters
Portis is the type of player who appears to be the default scapegoat. Whenever something goes wrong, some folks are quick to pin the blame on the 6-foot-10 big man. More than a few Bucks fans have been campaigning for the team to trade Portis away, which is why they were left disappointed after Bobby survived the trade deadline.
One thing about Portis is that he’s never afraid to call it as it is. It appears that the 29-year-old is well aware of the hate campaign some fans have pushed against him for what feels like an eternity. Portis took to Twitter on Wednesday to send a special message to his naysayers:

Portis has been through a lot in his life and he’s not going to let a bunch of keyboard warriors destroy his dream. He’s done so much and give up a whole lot just to be where he is today and there’s no way he’s going to stop now.
As he said, the hate is just going to fuel him to do even better.
