There was no shortage of heated moments during the Milwaukee Bucks’ feisty encounter against the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Nikola Vucevic stole headlines after his hard foul on A.J. Green resulted in an automatic ejection. Bulls star DeMar DeRozan, however, had his fair share of contentious moments during the game, which included an altercation with Bucks veteran Bobby Portis.

Portis is the type of player who loves to get under his opponents’ skin. This was exactly the case for DeRozan on Friday night after Portis decided to stand over him following a rebound battle. The Bulls star did not like it one bit, and he did not hesitate to retaliate after what he deemed was some disrespectful antics from the Milwaukee big man:

You can clearly see DeRozan charging toward Portis immediately after getting up from the floor. He had some bad intentions, which resulted in the Bulls forward getting assessed with a Flagrant Foul 1. He did not stop yapping after the call despite Portis deciding to walk away with a wry smile on his face, and this led to a technical foul on the six-time All-Star.

After the game, DeRozan spoke to the press to share his reaction to his altercation with Ports. The Bulls star admitted to taking exception to what he felt was a disrespectful act by Portis:

“He stared at me,” DeRozan said, via Bulls beat reporter K.C. Johnson of NBCS Chicago. “That’s all it takes for me. I don’t care who it is. It could be the janitor in the hallway. Look at me a certain type of way. Like, just play basketball. Get the rebound and play. I’ve just never been a player with the extra theatrics.”

DeRozan is clearly a no-nonsense type of guy. Well, so is Bobby Portis.

In the end, the Bucks prevailed, 113-97.
