After two months out of action, the Milwaukee Bucks finally got Jae Crowder back on Wednesday. The veteran swingman has been working hard to get back into shape after undergoing surgery on his left adductor in mid-December. It took him some time to finally return, but now that he’s back, Crowder is here to stay.
Adrian Griffin Speaks on Jae Crowder’s Return for Milwaukee Bucks
Speaking to reporters ahead of Wednesday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, head coach Adrian Griffin sounded off on Crowder’s return to the lineup. Coach Griff said that he won’t be playing Crowder 40 minutes against the Cavs but that he’s glad to have him back in the fold:
“Jae has worked extremely hard to get back,” Griffin said, via Bally Sports Wisconsin. “A hundred percent in all of his rehab and just poured it all out there. We’re just glad to have his veteran leadership, his presence on the floor. He just gives us another veteran guy coming off the bench. Yeah, excited about it.”
Unfortunately, Crowder’s return did little to help the Bucks avoid a total blowout on Wednesday night. Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee struggled mightily against a red-hot Cavs side. It resulted in a totally lopsided win for Cleveland, 135-95, which was the biggest loss of the season for the Bucks.
Crowder played well in his first game back, though, finishing with 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting with four triples. Hopefully, he is able to make a bigger impact in the Bucks’ next game.
