The Milwaukee Brewers began this off-season with three star players entering their final year of team control. Those guys were Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff ,and Willy Adames. After non-tendering Woodruff in November and trading Burnes to the Baltimore Orioles it appears as if GM Matt Arnold has put Adames on the trade block.

Willy Adames has been made available through trade by the Milwaukee Brewers.
In a notebook from Bob Nightengale he states that “the Milwaukee Brewers are letting teams know that shortstop Willy Adames is available now.” Matt Arnold also had some comments of his own after the Burnes trade indicating that he was “more open” to the possibility of trading Adames.
“Sometimes these deals come together very quickly and in other cases, they take a long time. I’m certainly open to more conversations. I certainly wouldn’t shut any conversations down at this point in the offseason.”
-Matt Arnold
Who would play shortstop if Willy Adames was traded?

It is highly anticipated that Adames will be traded at some point by the Brewers. If and when that occurs Milwaukee does have a few solid options from a defensive perspective who could fit in. Brice Turang and Joey Ortiz are both excellent defenders, but they still have much left to prove in regards to their ability to impact the game offensively at the big league level.
What kind of return would the Brewers get for Willy Adames?

Adames plays a premier position, is one of the best power hitting shortstops in the game, and is reliable in the field. Even though he is only controllable through the 2024 season a similar return to the Burnes trade package would not be out of the question.
