The Milwaukee Brewers have not made any significant moves this offseason. They have only signed a few players to minor-league deals and secured their top prospect, Jackson Chourio. The Brewers are known for their tendency to avoid blockbuster trades or signings. However, another team in the NL Central has recently re-signed a familiar player to the division.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman to a one year, 10.5 millions dollar deal.

Chapman pitched for the Cincinnati Reds from 2010-2015, then with the Chicago Cubs in 2016. He is known for his high-velocity fastball, reaching over 100 MPH. Chapman is a seven-time All-Star, two-time World Series champ, and one-time Reliever of the Year.
Chapman has been around the league making the Pirates his 6th team.
