The Milwaukee Brewers added two batters and one pitcher at this years trade deadline. Hitters Carlos Santana and Mark Canha joined the team and pitcher Andrew Chafin as well. Unfortunately one of these three players had to leave the Brewers most recent game against the Miami Marlins early with a injury.
Milwaukee Brewers player Mark Canha leaves the Miami Marlins game with wrist soreness.
Mark Canha left the Brewers and Marlins game in the third inning after one at-bat. There appeared to be no indication that anything was wrong until Joey Wiemer pinch hit for him.
After the game Mark Canha did give an update as to what was going on with this wrist. He indicated that he will have it examined by the doc tomorrow and that he has had this problem before. The good news is he typically has been able to come back quick and sometimes with the use of a cortisone shot.
Hopefully this wrist injury will not keep him sidelined for long because since joining the Brewers Mark Canha has a .303/.390/.459 slash line with a 111 OPS+ and several clutch hits. With how good he has been performing his availability to be in the lineup is important and will continue to be as the regular season nears and end and the post season looms closer.
