The Milwaukee Brewers have some up and coming elite pitching prospects. Sixth ranked Robert Gasser is the closest to being big league ready, seventh ranked Carlos F. Rodriguez is dominating for a second consecutive season, and Josh Knoth was just selected in this year’s draft. One player, perhaps with the most potential, is right-handed thrower Jacob Misiorowski. Unfortunately his season is currently on pause for the Brewers have temporarily shut him down.

Jacob Misirowski was promoted to Double-A a few weeks ago and in his last start he matched a Bilox Shuckers franchise record with a 12 strikeout performance. Sadly he developed some arm fatigue and has not pitched since. According to Adam McCalvy some tests have been performed but there was no concern for structural damage.
Across three minor league levels this year Jacob Misiorowski has made 20 starts and has thrown over 70 innings. The Brewers increased his pitch count slowly to begin this season, but lately there had been no indication of any restrictions until the announcement of him being shut down.
Long term the health of this 21 year old’s arm is the most important. There are only about three weeks remaining in the minor league regular season schedule, so it is possible that he remains shut down until next season.
