The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up their #5 prospect left-handed pitcher Robert Gasser to make his MLB debut on Friday night against the St. Louis Cardinals. Milwaukee has been struggling with its starting pitching this season despite having a 22-15 record and being a top of the National League Central Standings.

They are going to need more help at starting pitching at some point if the Milwaukee Brewers are serious about making a deep playoff run come October. They have some good pitching prospects in the minor leagues, but may also need to look elsewhere.
With the Milwaukee Brewers Calling Up #5 Ranked Prospect Robert Gasser From the Minors #2 Prospect Right-Handed Pitcher Jacob Misiorowski Will Not Be Called Up To the Big Leagues Until 2025

Misiorowski did make a couple of appearances in spring training for the Brewers as a non-roster invitee, but he has been in the minor leagues so far in 2024. Jacob Misiorowski is currently in Double-A with the Biloxi Shuckers. In six games pitched so far this season in the minor leagues he has a 0-0 record with a 2.70 ERA.
In 23.1 innings pitched, he has given up nine hits. Misiorowski has walked 17 batters and has struck out 36 batters. His WHIP is 1.11. He will need to work on his command because he has given up too many walks this season in the minor leagues.
Jacob Misiorowski is the second-ranked prospect for the Milwaukee Brewers farm system and is not projected to be up in the big leagues until next year. We will see when the Brewers will promote him to Triple-A with the Nashville Sounds, but it may be a while.

He is 22 years old and a second-round pick (63rd overall) in the 2022 MLB Draft by Milwaukee. Some scouts view him as a closer in the future rather than being a starting pitcher. Some of his scouting report on MLB.com is as follows:
“After experiencing walk issues at the lower levels, Misiorowski issued free passes to 15 percent of the batters he faced with Biloxi as Double-A hitters knew to lay off his weapons outside the zone. Because of those concerns, some evaluators think he’s a future closer, and he could be a right-handed version of Josh Hader. But the possibility that Misiorowski could keep this arsenal in a starting role with even slight control improvements remains all too enticing.”
It appears as if Abner Uribe will be the closer for the Milwaukee Brewers for quite a while. Milwaukee maybe preparing for Jacob Misiorowski to become a bullpen pitcher, but they may need to be a starting pitcher at the MLB level.
