The Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals will be the last two teams to participate in Major League Baseball’s first ever Spring Breakout event. Spring Breakout games started Thursday and on Sunday, March 17 at 3:05 PM CT the last contest will start.
Previously it was thought that Logan Henderson would be on the hill for Milwaukee to start the game. After a turn of events that plan has now changed and the Brewers top ranked pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski will get the opportunity.
Jacob Misiorowski was not expected to be available for the Brewers Spring Breakout game.

On Friday, March 15 Jacob Misiorowski was slated to start a minor league game for the Nashville/Biloxi squad. Due to the timing of this game and the Sunday, March 17 Spring Breakout game being just two days later Misiorowski was not expected to be available for the highly anticipated contest.

Rain out provides Jacob Misiorowski an opportunity to pitch in the Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals Spring Breakout game.

Across all of Arizona on Friday, March 15 rain caused several game cancellations. This included the Brewers big league game as well as the minor league game that Misiorowski was scheduled to pitch in. Due to this he now is available for Sunday’s Spring breakout and he will be the starting pitcher.
Sometimes rain is a good thing.
Jacob Misiorowski was slated to pitch in a minors game yesterday, which would keep him from throwing in the spring breakout. Well, now he’s starting the breakout game tomorrow against the Royals. https://t.co/TZ2KEKW3uX

Jacob Misiorowski has a history of putting on a show in big spotlight games.

In 2023 Misiorowski was selected to the Futures Game. This contest showcased several of the league’s top prospects. During that game he struck out the side and threw 10 fastballs over 100 MPH. A similar outing like this on Sunday night would help even more people recognize how special of a talent he is.
