Right off the bat everyone knew that ball was trouble. The opposing left fielder took one measly step before realizing that the baseball was leaving the ballpark. Jackson hit just two home runs last season, but had 11 at the Triple-A level in 2021 and 28 in 2019.
With the Nashville Sounds, he is one of four catchers on their roster. Payton Henry, who is on the Brewers 40-man roster, is one catcher that he is competing for playing time with. The other catchers are Brent Diaz and Brian Navarreto.
Not too many players can hit a ball that far. Jackson has a history of great power so hopefully he can dive into that well once again during the 2023 season.
