Milwaukee Brewers opening day starter Freddy Peralta pitched three innings.

During his Cactus League debut Freddy Peralta went three innings an threw 49 pitches. He gave up five hits in which all of them were extra base knocks (four doubles and one home run). Despite the stat line he was pleased with his outing and execution.
“I felt great since the first pitch. Everything was working really good. I only don’t feel good about one pitch in the 1-2 count to (Lourdes) Gurriel. But I felt great after that.”
The Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks played in front of a sell out crowd.

It was a crowded Sunday afternoon at Salt River Fields as more than 12,000 fans filled the stadium. Up until this outing Freddy Peralta had only worked at the Brewers complex. He was grateful to have pitched in front of a sellout crowd.
“It’s nice to have the fans back. It’s a nice feeling to be back on the mound with the fans. That makes me feel really good. It made me feel like a better pitcher, too. That’s how we enjoy the game.”
