On Wednesday night, the Arizona Diamondbacks eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers from the 2023 MLB Postseason. Fans are becoming increasingly frustrated as the Brewers have only won one playoff series since 2018. During the offseason, professional baseball players who have served between three and six years in the MLB can participate in arbitration. Both the player and their team propose a salary for the upcoming season. If they cannot agree on a one or multi-year contract by the hearing date, a group of arbitrators reviews the case. Following hearings from both parties, the arbitrators choose either the player’s or the club’s proposed salary as the player’s salary for the upcoming season.
