The Bucks are the last undefeated team in the NBA. The scariest thing about this for the rest of the NBA is that they are not at full strength. Khris Middleton has been recovering from injury and has not seen the court yet. Getting him back would help boost both sides of the ball. The most recent update was positive and signals Khris Middleton nearing a return from injury.
Khris Middleton Nearing A Return From Injury
It got kind of lost in the Nets drama yesterday, but the Milwaukee Bucks assigning Khris Middleton to the Wisconsin Herd to practice was notable. Should mean that Middleton is ramping up towards a return. That'll only make the 6-0 Bucks even stronger to have their best wing back.

Khris Middleton has been assigned to the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks G-League affiliate. Baseball teams do this all the time with players coming off of injuries. To get them back into game shape, they send players to the minor leagues for a week or two to slowly ramp them back into shape. This is what the Bucks are doing with Middleton. He will spend a week or two with the Herd and then be more ready to hit the court when he returns to the Bucks.
The Bucks Need Him Despite Hot Start
The rest of the league should be very scared right now. The fact that the Bucks have been this good without Middleton is not something many saw coming. However, the Bucks do need Middleton back. In the playoffs last year, the Bucks desperately missed Middleton’s scoring and defense in the series against the Celtics. The Bucks have also struggled this season in some areas that Middleton will help with. They are 24th in 3-point percentage. Middleton is a career 39.2 percent three-point shooter so he should help boost those numbers. Middleton will help spread the floor and give defenses another threat they have to game plan for.
The good news about the hot start is the Bucks do not have to rush Middleton back. The Bucks need him for the long term, not the short term. Middleton can come back when he is fully ready. It is great to hear that Khris Middleton is nearing his return from injury. The Bucks are looking to stay in the driver’s seat in the East and Middleton will help with that.
