Former Wisconsin Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor has moved into a tie with Owen Daniels for most NFL points scored by a former Wisconsin Badgers player. Taylor on November 28 scored on a two-yard run in the Indianapolis Colts game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jonathan Taylor ties Owen Daniels for #10 spot

Taylor, who is in his third year in the NFL with the Colts, has now scored 36 touchdowns in the NFL. That gives him a total of 216 points in his brief career in the NFL. He is tied with Daniels, who was a QB and wide receiver at Wisconsin from 2002-05, Daniels spent 10 years in the NFL as a tight end, eight of those years with Houston. He also had 36 career TDs in the league.

Placekickers have top two spots on the list

Sitting at the top of the list for most NFL points scored by a former Wisconsin Badger is Jim Bakken. A placekicker in the NFL from 1962-78, Bakken spent all 17 years with the St. Louis Cardinals. He tallied 1,380 points in the NFL. He led the NFL in scoring in 1967 with 117 points, and his 1,380 career points is 37th on the all-time list.

Itโ€™s interesting to note that Bakken was a QB and running back at Wisconsin from 1959-61 and scored a grand total of 12 points in his career as a Badger.

Another placekicker, John Hall, is second on the list with 889 points. He played at Wisconsin from 1993-96 scoring 186 points. He played 10 seasons in the NFL from 1997-2006 playing for the New York Jets and Washington.
