His readiness for the NBA, both physically and skill-wise, positions him for success in a league that demands exceptional physicality and athleticism.

Deandre Jackson Jr., Chris Livingston, AJ Green, and MarJon Beauchamp, among others, are not content with merely making the roster. They consistently push the veterans during training camp and practice sessions, fostering a culture of healthy competition.
“I think it will be fun to see how this game Turns out here tonight, but it will be fun for y’all to see Deandre Jackson Jr., Chris Livingston, AJ Green in addition to MarJon [Beauchamp],” Horst said in an interview with Doris Burke during the ESPN broadcast coverage of Lakers and Bucks preseason game.
“That young core for us guys who have gone anywhere from late first round to undrafted have had great camps. They love to play with physically; these are guys who have NBA bodies, NBA Athleticism, and NBA skill sets, and they are really challenging our vets each and every day in training camp, and practice. And so, it will be fun for the fans to watch those guys get some opportunities here today.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo recently praised Beauchamp after his performance against the Memphis Grizzlies.
“He’s definitely part of this. He’s going to be a big part of this,” said Antetokounmpo.
“You could see the way he played (Friday) night; he basically won the game for us. He came in in the fourth quarter, made plays, shot threes, he wanted it. It’s always awesome to see guys playing with a chip on their shoulder, guys just being aggressive and try to earn every single thing on the court. And that’s what I saw today and I’m happy that he’s doing that.
“We need him to do that. He cannot wait for the game to come to him. … In my a second year in the league, I tried to go out there and try to take it. I didn’t wait for the game to come to me.
“He’s definitely a big part of this team and he needs to know this. Not because I said it, because the whole team believes it. We need him to be great. We need him to be aggressive. We need him to make shots. We needed to go out there and take a leap.”
The impact of this competitive spirit is two-fold. On one hand, the young core is gaining valuable experience and exposure to the highest level of basketball. On the other, the veterans are being pushed to elevate their game, ensuring that the team remains at its competitive peak. Jon Horst’s recognition of this level of challenge speaks volumes about its importance in the developmental process. It is about nurturing the next generation of stars while keeping the team’s performance at its zenith.
