The Green Bay Packers added a surprise to the injury report Friday when they included a star defender to the list. The Packers had several players battling injuries on the offense this week.
David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins were expected to be ruled out against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The Packers hoped to get Christian Watson and Aaron Jones back against the Saints. The Packers appeared to see positive progress with Watson at Friday’s practice.
Jaire Alexander added to the Green Bay Packers injury report
According to Rob Demovsky with ESPN, the Packers ruled Jenkins out against the Saints. Bakhtiari is questionable to play, as are Jones, Watson, and rookie Edge Lukas Van Ness.
But the big story is cornerback Jaire Alexander. Alexander was added Friday with a back injury. He will be questionable to play the Saints.
Jaire Alexander (back) was added to the injury report as questionable.
The rest were:
Zayne Anderson: OUT
Elgton Jenkins: OUT
David Bakhtiari: Questionable
Aaron Jones: Questionable
Lukas Van Ness: Questionable
Christian Watson: QuestionableJones did practice limitedly.

This is a big revelation for the Packers defense. The Packers’ secondary is already dealing with significant depth problems. Losing Alexander in Week 3 is not what the Packers need, as they’ll head into the game with a 1-1 record.
