Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks needs to be one of the main wide receivers moving forward. Wicks is a fifth-round rookie from Virginia and he has earned his way onto the field for Green Bay. In the loss against Pittsburgh on Sunday, Dontayvion Wicks caught three passes for 51 yards receiving.
He has been playing very well over the last week and has been consistently getting open for this offense. Jordan Love’s passer rating when targeting him this season is 101.5. That’s the fourth-best on the team and the second-best for a wide receiver on Green Bay.
Dontayvion Wicks is a better fit for this offense by a mile compared to Christian Watson. He has caught 17 passes for 240 yards receiving and one touchdown so far this season. Wicks is averaging 14.1 yards per reception so far this season.

It has been a shame that Wicks hasn’t seen the field more, and it is a good thing he is. However, Dontayvion Wicks has done enough to be receiving more snaps than Christian Watson. Wicks, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs need to be the top three wide receivers on the Packers roster moving forward, and this would benefit the offense.

There seems to be more chemistry with this offense when Christian Watson is off the field and when Dontayvion Wicks is on the field. Wicks has done more as a fifth-round rookie this season compared to Watson, who was a second-round selection the previous offseason.
Green Bay Packers Fans Want More of Dontayvion Wicks

This fanbase wants to see more of Wicks and less of Watson, and who could blame them at this point? Some of the Green Bay fanbase had to say this on Twitter when talking about Wicks playing on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road:
Dontayvion Wicks is the best most talented receiver on the Packers

Dontayvion Wicks should be getting all of Watson’s snaps.

Love that the other packer fans are on board with dontayvion wicks

They have every right to want him on the field more. Head coach Matt LaFleur has played him a little more week by week. Is it finally time to have him see at least 30 or more offensive snaps for the rest of the season? This fanbase wouldn’t mind it at all as long it kept Christian Watson on the sidelines.
