The Green Bay Packers already have a much different-looking team heading into 2023. Aaron Rodgers has been traded, Robert Tonyan signed with the Bears, Allen Lazard signed with the Jets, and the Packers loaded up on defensive and offensive skill positions in the 2023 NFL Draft. That being said, the last major question mark of the 2023 team seems to be the safety position. Rasul Douglas may have provided some insight as far as the Green Bay Packers’ plans.
Rasul Douglas Hints At The Green Bay Packers Re-Signing Safety Adrian Amos

One position that wasn’t addressed (as far as starting-caliber players go) in the 2023 NFL Draft was safety. They only took one safety in the draft and that was in the form of Anthony Johnson Jr. in the seventh round. That leaves the door open for the Packers to retain one of their better defensive players, Adrian Amos. Brian Gutekunst addressed that possibility after the draft. During the middle of the 2023 NFL draft, Rasul Douglas responded to one fan that sent twitter into a frenzy:
@_SmashAmos31 probably coming back or something . He not giving us any info 👀👀👀 https://t.co/RQ3hHA4M9z

Earlier this off-season Adrian Amos visited the Baltimore Ravens on an official, however, he left without signing a contract. Amos is coming off a four-year, $36 million contract he signed with the Packers in 2019. He played 66 games for Green Bay.
He registered one interception in 2022 but stole three in each of the previous two seasons. While is was overall considered a down year for Amos, he still recorded a career highs with 102 tackles last season and six for loss. Amos spent 2015 to 2018 with the Bears after being drafted in the fifth round (142nd overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft and totaled 274 tackles, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions in 60 games in Chicago. With the glaring need at safety, the Green Bay Packers may be enticed to bring him back.
