The Green Bay Packers defense was dominating on Sunday. The final score doesn’t paint the whole picture as many of the backups were in late with the game well in hand. One player that is looking for a huge year is Rasul Douglas. He and the rest of the secondary played well shutting down DJ Moore and the rest of the Bears’ offense. Douglas had a message for Bears fans after the game.
Green Bay Packers Rasul Douglas Has A Message For Bears Fans
After the game, GM Brian Gutekunst met every player in the tunnel to high-five every player. After hugging his GM, Douglas turned to the camera and had a special message for Bears fans. “30 years, another 30 years, about to be another 30 years,” he said to the camera confidently. He is referencing the dominance of this rivalry in the past 30 years. With Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers under center, they have smoked their rivals. Now, Jordan Love is looking to dominate again and Douglas is letting the fans know to get ready.
Turmoil In Chicago
This feels good. After how much trash talk came out of Chicago this offseason, this victory is extra sweet. The Bears look like a team with a lot more questions than answers. It’s just one game in a season. The Bears could recover and show promise. The Packers could regress and finish poorly. However, no matter what the season holds, beating the Bears always feels good. It is now nine straight victories over the Bears and a whopping 26 out of the last 30. It’s been a decade of dominance and it looks like it might continue.
The Green Bay Packer Rasul Douglas doesn’t think this rivalry is going to change. From what we saw in week 1, it looks like the Packers will continue their dominance until a lot of things change in Chicago.
