ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky was impressed by the play of Jordan Love on Sunday. While it started off a little slow, the new quarterback looked comfortable on Sunday en route to a dominating victory over their hated rivals. On ESPN’s “Get Up”, Orlovsky broke down the film and praised the “manipulation” of the defense.

Dan Orlovsky Praises Jordan Love
Manipulating defenses is what the best quarterbacks do best. Aaron Rodgers had been known to toy with defenses during his time with the Packers. Orlovsky took to the film room to show how that has not changed with Love under center. Consistently, receivers were wide open as the play design executed by Love fooled the Bears’ defense and caused easy completions and huge gains. His ability to look off linebackers and safeties led to precise touchdown passes and big plays on third and fourth down. While he missed some throws, the fact that the receivers were wide-open says a lot about the quarterbacks’ play.
Week 1 Fluke Or Something More?
Overreacting to week 1 is never a good thing but it is hard to not get excited about what we saw on Sunday. Even on the missed throws, the offense looked to be running smoothly. What Orlovsky points out in the video is what should make fans excited. His ability to manipulate the defense is something that not every young quarterback can do. The one caveat for this week is it is the Bears defense. They might be outright terrible. It will be interesting next week to see if the Falcons have any success against this offense as their defense is much more talented.
Dan Orlovsky is impressed with Jordan Love and it seems that other analysts are too. After an offseason of questions, we finally got to see Love play a real game. The results were promising and the Packers are out to prove that they belong in the conversation for one of the best NFC teams.
