The Green Bay Packers are doing their homework before the 2023 NFL Draft. One of those homework assignments includes doing a pre-draft visit with someone who could possibly protect Jordan Love’s blind side for years to come.
Green Bay Packers Hosting T Darnell Wright

Wright was a former five-star recruit who played four seasons at the University of Tennessee. He made starts at both the left and right tackle position. While he was impressive in his sophomore and junior years, this past season he was downright dominant. He did not give up a sack all season including in a game against Alabama where he went against projected top-5 pick Will Anderson Jr. His elite athleticism is what makes him tantalizing for the Packers. GM Brian Gutekunst loves athletic players and Wright seems to be a perfect fit.
David Bakhtiari is certainly the current starter at left tackle for the Green Bay Packers. He has proven for years that, when healthy, he is one of the best tackles in the NFL. However, Bakhtiari will turn 32 in September. Thinking of a long term replacement at this point wouldn’t hurt at all. The Green Bay Packers have a history of moving on from players possible a “year too early rather than a year too late.”
