The Green Bay Packers may be looking to add to their tight end position during the final stretch of the season. Suddenly, the Packers are just one spot out of the final Wild Card spot. Sitting at 5-6, the Packers are right behind the Minnesota Vikings (6-6) and Seattle Seahawks (6-5).
Amid learning the Luke Musgrave could potentially miss the rest of the season, the Packers decided to bring in a tight end who has NFL experience on six different teams.
The Green Bay Packers Work Out Tight End Nick Eubanks Ahead Of Matchup Vs. The Kansas City Chiefs
NFL reporter Aaron Wilson announced the Green Bay Packers worked out tight end Nick Eubanks.
Previously, the Packers worked out Eubanks in 2021. Mostly on summer rosters and practice squads, the tight end has bounced around the league for the past three seasons. Considering Green Bay currently doesn’t have a tight end on its practice squad, it makes sense that Eubanks is one of three tight ends they brought in for a workout. Due to injuries to Luke Musgrave (IR) and Josiah Deguara (IR), the Packers elevated fullback Henry Pearson from the practice squad to play a few offensive snaps and fill out a special teams role last week.
Eubanks has spent time with the Dallas Cowboys (2021), Philadelphia Eagles (2021), Detroit Lions (2021), Cincinnati Bengals (2022), Houston Texans (2022), and Indianapolis Colts (2023).
During his collegiate career at Michigan (2016-20), he made 45 receptions for 578 yards and six touchdowns. During the 2019 season, Eubanks earned Honorable Mention recognition as an All-Big Ten performer.
