The Green Bay Packers (2-3) are now heading into a bye week after their most recent loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Packers were only able to put up 13 points. Only scoring one touchdown early in the game on Monday night football.
Head coach Matt Lafleur spoke to the media about the spotlight now being on quarterback Jordan Love after five games. Ryan Wood was the first to report the coach’s comments via X:
Green Bay Packers Head Coach Comments on Jordan Love
No quarterback wants constant eyes on them. But based on recent play from Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, he has received criticism after his last performance. It is not a good thing, but they are a young team trying to find their way.
Matt LaFleur on Jordan Love and #Packers offense: "The majority of the spotlight is going to be plays on the quarterback, and that's not always the case."
The point: A lot of missed opportunities to make plays around Love.

Matt Lafleur knows that those things do not always happen. Surely, if the Packers won their last game, it would not be a huge concern. Love is not the entire offense, but he is the primary facilitator as the Green Bay Packers signal-caller.
Jordan Love In Five Games Through 2023
Through the first five games, Jordan Love has had ups and downs. He has completed 55.6% of his passes with eight touchdowns and six interceptions. Love has had moments of wrong timing or bad decision-making in the Green Bay Packers passing game. He threw three picks against the Las Vegas Raiders, and two were to Christian Watson in the second half. Jordan Love went 16-30 for 182 yards on Monday night.
Jordan Love was sitting behind former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for three seasons with limited playing time. But now, most would think that with five games completed, Love would be sharper with some starting experience this season.
Aaron Rodgers Sends Message to Jordan Love
Rodgers did send a message to his former teammate after the Green Bay Packers’ last game. This shows that Love does have support. It should give him some added confidence as the season continues.
The Packers have time to work on things with a bye week coming up. Jordan Love should be able to get more chemistry down with his wide receivers. Matt Lafleur is looking for his team to roll up their sleeves and get back to who they are with the time off. Hopefully, the spotlight hits the quarterback in a good way moving forward.
