Very little could stop the Green Bay Packers in their 29-22 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. Jordan Love connected with Christian Watson for 53-yard reception on the first play of the game, setting the tone for a game in which Green Bay never trailed.
Many were surprised by the Packers’ convincing victory, considering the fact that the Lions (now 8-3) destroyed Green Bay in every phase of the game in a blowout win at Lambeau Field in Week Four. Furthermore, the Packers were without a large number of their starting and/or key players. Jaire Alexander, De’Vondre Campbell, Aaron Jones, Dontayvion Wicks, and both of their starting safeties (Darnell Savage and Rudy Ford) were all out with injuries.
It seems like head coach Matt LaFleur is at his best when his cupboard is bare. Back in 2021, his Packers team, without its three top wide receivers, David Bakhtiari, and Alexander, defeated a 7-0 Arizona Cardinals 24-21.
He dialed up yet another masterpiece with his banged up roster on Thanksgiving. Indeed, the Packers were just about as unstoppable as they have been all season. One security guard, however, did his best to keep LaFleur from running into the tunnel with his team at halftime, though.
Detroit Lions Security Guard Attempted to Stop Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur from Entering His Team’s Tunnel
The Packers took a 23-6 lead into halftime behind an explosive 20-point first quarter. Obviously hyped up, Coach LaFleur took off at full speed when the clock hit 0:00 to meet his players in the locker room. One security guard, for whatever reason, attempted to stop LaFleur from entering the tunnel:

LaFleur told Fox’ Tom Rinadli that a situation like that had never happened to him before in his coaching career.
It has yet to be revealed why the security guard attempted to stop Coach LaFleur. One truly has to wonder what could have possibly been going through his mind at that moment.
