The Green Bay Packers have officially moved on. Jordan Love will be QB1 in Green Bay for the 2023 NFL season. For the first time in 31 years, a quarterback not named Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers will be the starter week one. Whether it was news of other teams reaching out, or the NFL Draft coming up, the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers re-opened trade talks. This week, they got the deal done. Upon the trade getting done, David Bakhtiari took to social media to make an announcement.
David Bakhtiari Says Goodbye To Aaron Rodgers After Being Traded To New York Jets
David Bakhtiari, the Packers’ star left tackle, is set to begin his first NFL season without having to protect Aaron Rodgers. After news broke of the trade, he took to Instagram to post a heartfelt goodbye”
“Well. I hate goodbyes, and this one especially,” Bakhtiari wrote on Instagram with a photo montage of he and Rodgers set to Nickelback’s “Photograph” on Tuesday. “The chapter is over on this one, but this friendship is a lifetime. You’ve been so instrumental in my life and I just wanna say thank you. And I love you brother. So enough with the sobby stuff.
“Here’s a fun collage with some of the good times we’ve had over the years all bundled together and tied with your favorite band. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

During a weekend appearance on “Open Mike,” Bakhtiari revealed a conversation he had with the Green Bay Packers new starting quarterback Jordan Love:
I literally today talked to Jordan (Love) about this,” Bakhtiari said regarding Rodgers’ heir apparent. “I’m like, ‘The Packers rebuilt from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers.’ What are we going to say? It’s not a rebuild? Like, that is what that is. And that’s totally fine.
“I’m not saying that we’re going to be bad. I’m not saying we’re going to be good. I don’t know and that’s the beauty. No one really knows how good they are. We start the season, everyone is batting 1.000. No one has any losses. No one has any wins. And let the season play out however it may be.”
Many have assumed that this will be Bakhtiari’s last season in Green Bay. Many even thought he could be apart of the Aaron Rodgers trade to the New York Jets. David Bakhtiari proved once again in 2022 that, when healthy, he is still one of the best left tackles in the NFL. For at least one more year, the Packers’ starting QB’s blind side is in good hands.

You guys need to know the difference between an announcement and a statement. You’re misleading the story. I should expect you to know the difference. I guess not.
If he feels that way he should demand a trade to the jets. We would love for the bromance to continue. He sounds lonely. Come to the dark side.
