Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love might not be an MVP candidate this 2023 season, but with the way he’s playing recently, he should be. Besides, what he has achieved so far has only been done by another MVP candidate in San Francisco 49ers signal-caller Brock Purdy.
In their Week 17 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Love was sensational once again in leading the Packers to the 33-10 victory. The 25-year-old QB completed 24 of his 33 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns. He even rushed for one score on the ground as they dominated from start to finish.
Making his performance even more amazing, Love took care of the ball really well. He didn’t throw any interception, with the Vikings’ defense struggling to slow him down.
Now, according to Zach Jacobson of Packer Report, Jordan Love became just the second player after Brock Purdy this 2023 season to have at least eight games with multiple passing touchdowns without an interception.
While Love already has 11 interceptions for the Green Bay Packers, most of it came in the first half of the campaign. In fact, over his last seven games including the Vikings showdown, the young wideout has only thrown one interception and recorded multiple touchdowns in the six other games when his pass wasn’t intercepted.
That’s right, six of the eight games where he throw multiple TDs without being picked off came in the second half of the year.
Not only does it speak volumes of how massive Love’s turnaround has been, but it also highlights how effective he has been for the Packers. In that stretch, Green Bay has actually gone 5-2.
Love’s improved performance has allowed the Packers to stay in postseason contention. Without him, the story about Green Bay might have been different this time. Fans might be talking about firing Joe Barry and thinking what other moves the team can make in the offseason.
Fortunately, that’s not the case.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers’ Turnaround Is a Truly Inspiring Story
The Green Bay Packers have really started playing better after Jordan Love turned a corner and found his stride with the team.
Green Bay started the season with a losing 2-5 record. At that point, it really looked like Love’s first year as a full-time starter would end in utter disappointment.
By Week 9, however, the Packers started winning games behind Love’s improved play. In the nine games they have played after their ugly start, they went 6-3 to make their record an even 8-8 heading to the final match of the season.
During that stretch, Love has tallied 2351 passing yards and 19 touchdowns, all while throwing just three interceptions.
In two of the three games that they lost in the said run, Love actually threw his interceptions. Basically, when Love is taking care of the ball well, they are really hard to beat.
Sure enough, if the former Utah State standout can maintain his incredible streak, the Packers have a good chance to keep winning.
They face the Chicago Bears in Week 18 in a must-win game. And clearly, Love knows what he must do.

Guess they just give out degrees in his country.
Either that or Love has changed positions to wideout.
