Jaire Alexander couldn’t help but troll Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott following the Green Bay Packers’ Wild Card win on Sunday.
Alexander picked off Prescott late in the first quarter of the game to help keep the Packers in control after an Aaron Jones touchdown gave them the lead. It was a sign of things to come, with the Green Bay defense shutting down the Cowboys quarterback.
While it was the only interception of the game for Alexander, his coverage really made things difficult for Prescott all might long. In the second quarter, Prescott even threw a pick-six to Darnell Savage, allowing Green Bay to take a 27-0 lead.

While talking to reporters after the game, Jaire Alexander couldn’t help but savagely mock Dak Prescott. The Green Bay Packers cornerback said that the Dallas Cowboys is now one of his “top QBs,” but it’s not for flattering reasons (via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic).
“There’s a few quarterbacks who’ve thrown me multiple picks in my career and Dak is now one of them, so he’s among my top QBs,” Alexander said, referencing to the previous interception he had on Prescott back in 2019 during the regular season.
Alexander couldn’t have been more vicious with that message, but he has all the bragging rights. After all, they did beat a Cowboys team that was heavily favored entering the contest. Moreover, defense played a big role in that win, with Alexander a focal point.
Jaire Alexander Played Through Injury for Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys
What makes Jaire Alexander’s Sunday display even more amazing is the fact that his status was in doubt heading to the contest between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.
Alexander was dealing with a “freak” ankle injury he sustained during practice, and he was reportedly “50/50” at best for the Wild Card game because of the issue. He missed the Packers’ final two practices as well heading to the game, so there wasn’t a lot of hope about his return.
Nonetheless, Alexander showed his toughness and didn’t let the injury slow him down. And sure enough, based on his performance, the health issue is now a thing of the past for him.
Hopefully, Alexander will be able to stay healthy as they gear up for the divisional round. The Packers really need their star CB in order to pull off another upset.
