The Green Bay Packers stunned the Dallas Cowboys on the road with a score of 48-32 and will advance to the next round of the 2024 playoffs. Green Bay dominated on both sides of the ball early on and never let Dallas find rhythm to climb back in. The Packers are the first 7 seed to win a playoff game in NFL history and tied the most points Green Bay have ever put up in a postseason game.
Aaron Jones Drops 3 Touchdown Performance versus the Dallas Cowboys
Aaron Jones, who has run for over at least 110 yards on the ground in his last 3 games had another masterclass performance on Sunday versus the Cowboys. Jones has not scored a touchdown since November, but he was able to get in the endzone on the first drive of the game.
The Texas native finished with just over 130 yards from scrimmage and 3 touchdowns. If AJ Dillon continues to be off the field with injuries, expect Jones to continue his workhorse load next week against the San Francisco 49ers.
Jordan Love Throws for 157.2 Passer Rating in Playoff Debut for Green Bay Packers
In his first playoff game, Jordan Love looked like a seasoned veteran throwing for 272 yards and 3 touchdowns through the air while completing 16 of his 21 pass attempts. Love is leading the NFL in passer rating since week 12 and has shown nothing but improvement every time he is on the field.
Love was able to spread the ball around throwing to 7 different receivers on Sunday, but Romeo Doubs stole the show for Green Bay on the offensive side of the ball. Doubs was Love’s favorite target, catching 6 balls for 151 yards and a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. While Doubs has had a relatively quiet season, his explosion in the wildcard round played a big part in the Packers extending the lead throughout the game.
Jaire Alexander Re-Aggravates Ankle Injury Late in Third Quarter versus the Dallas Cowboys

Left ankle rolls here, likely a sprain. Unable to tell severity based off this video but we know he came into the game with a sprained ankle. 26% of ankle sprains re-sprain pic.twitter.com/Iq55bFSPKO

Jaire Alexander, who was questionable for Sunday’s playoff game suited up and played through the ankle injury that he suffered in practice earlier this week. Alexander made an impact early, intercepting a pass late in the first quarter which set up a touchdown on the other end. He re-aggravated that ankle injury in the third quarter and was listed as questionable to return to the contest.
Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb struggled to get going early and a big contribution to that is Alexander’s play in the secondary. If Alexander is not able to suit up for next week’s game, it would be a massive blow to the Packers pass defense who are currently without Eric Stokes due to a hamstring injury.
