Green Bay Packers fans had a field day on social media today when a pro-bowl wide receiver demanded a trade from his current team today.  With the possible departure of Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard, targeting a veteran wide receiver this off-season could be near the top of the Packers’ “to-do” list.  Green Bay Packers fans know this and will certainly be on top of all wide receivers who are expected to change teams this off-season.  Today is was reported that Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson has been given permission to talk to other teams regarding a trade.  When Packers fans heard this, they went off on social media.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Los Angeles Rams have given Allen Robinson permission to talk to other teams about trading for him.  The report adds that the Rams are willing to pay part of Robinson’s $15.25 million guaranteed salary in order to make a deal happen.  Robinson signed a three-year deal with the Rams during the 2022 off-season.  He finished the 2022-23 season with 33 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns.  That production came in 10 games before going on injured reserve in November.

While Allen Robinson had a down years in 2021 and 2022, he has seen an incredible amount of success in this league.  In 2019 and 2020, he played in all 32 regular season games, accumulated 2,397 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns with the Chicago Bears.  Green Bay Packers fans remember Robinson during those years and certainly took to social media when they found out he wanted to be traded:

Nah, later for him. He chose Chicago and LA over us. He can stay irrelevant.

    — Nick in the North (@n1ckipedia) March 6, 2023

    I wouldn’t say no.

    — Mark Russell (@Manruss) March 6, 2023

Didn’t he choose the bears over the packers a few years back?

    — J (@elevated_shine) March 6, 2023

    If the money adds up

    — Gregory (@BOSSG44) March 6, 2023

    god no, so overrated

As you can tell, Green Bay Packers fans are all over the board when it comes to Allen Robinson.  They haven’t forgot that Robinson chose to sign with the Bears over the Packers just a few years ago.  With his production significantly decreasing over the last two seasons, many don’t like the idea of bringing him to Green Bay.  However, for the right price, there are quite a few fans who wouldn’t mind seeing Robinson play for the Green Bay Packers.
