The Green Bay Packers are preparing to face the Denver Broncos in Week Seven.  Sitting at 2-3, the Packers will need to string together a few wins in order to get into playoff conversations as the midway point of the season approaches.

Star running back Aaron Jones has missed a significant portion of the season due to a lingering hamstring injury.  To Packers fans delight, Jones had a great update on his health going into Week Seven.  However, any time a big-name is reportedly on the trade block, it will certainly garner some interest.

Tennessee Titans Reportedly Have Derrick Henry On The Trade Block

    According to multiple reports:

The Tennessee Titans are expected to explore trade options for Derrick Henry at the trade deadline. CBS Sports

There are a lot of things that could happen over the next two weeks. After losing 23-16 to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6, the Tennessee Titans are 2-4 on the season. Prior to the NFL trade deadline, Tennessee will be on a bye in Week 7 and then face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.

Considering the Titans are preparing for a potential rebuild, it could be Henry’s last game in a Titans uniform. Backfield certainty is needed sooner rather than later for the Packers. The addition of Henry to this offense would make a significant difference. Originally, Green Bay was interested in Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, but he is no longer on the market.

How Would The Green Bay Packers Benefit From Derrick Henry?

Trading for a 29-year-old running back (will be 30 in January) may not be at the top of the Packers’ “to-do” list. However, if the team feels they will be in contention in the next 1-3 years, having a backfield of Jones and Henry would be lethal.
