There was no shortage of action during Sunday night’s bout between the Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately for the Packers, they suffered their third straight defeat in a truly disappointing performance against a struggling Broncos side.
That wasn’t the only reason why Green Bay supporters were left fuming, though.
Broncos’ Kareem Jackson Ejected for hit on Green Bay Packers’ Luke Musgrave
At one point in the game, Denver’s controversial safety, Kareem Jackson, was forced to head into the locker room after getting himself ejected from the game. Jackson drove his helmet into Packers tight end Luke Musgrave’s head after the latter caught a pass. Jackson’s actions were deemed excessive and he was immediately asked to leave the game:

Jackson has had a few of these this year. At least 3 or 4.pic.twitter.com/CSUy28mNqK

Here’s another angle of the hit, which makes it look even worse:
At what point will the #NFL suspend Kareem Jackson indefinitely?
EVERY SINGLE WEEK he is flagged for unnecessary roughness. He’s been ejected today and will be fined a fifth week in a row. pic.twitter.com/HxsCVqI8xp

As the caption indicates, this isn’t the first time Jackson has been involved in a similar incident. This season alone, the Broncos DB has had at least a couple of instances wherein he was accused of delivering a dirty hit on his opponents.

What a dirty hit by #Broncos S Kareem Jackson, who got ejected.
TE Logan Thomas was the player hit here.

Packers, NFL Fans React to Kareem Jackson’s Antics
It wasn’t just Packers fans who were incensed by Jackson’s actions. The football world seems to have had enough of this man’s dangerous style of play, and the keyboard warriors let their feelings known on Twitter:
Kareem Jackson gonna get thrown out the league at this rate

Fines are going to cost more than he’s making this season pretty soon

He should be throw out of the NFL. He’s extremely dirty and he doesn’t seem to learn from any of it. Time to consider him a habitual offender and have a severe punishment. pic.twitter.com/hWsPdE5ZBQ

Other fans, however, don’t seem to see anything wrong with Jackson’s hit on Musgrave. Some of them were even feeling a bit nostalgic as they referenced the previous era of “more physical” football:
Used to be a legal hit.

I miss early 2000s football so bad

Safety’s used to be celebrated for playing like this. Crazy times

Clean hit 🤷♂️

Far from a rules expert over here but I honestly do not think that hit from Kareem Jackson was dirty. Crown of helmet was up, led with his shoulder, not helmet to helmet….what is he supposed to do? pic.twitter.com/GfC6ewkjfb

The internet is clearly divided on this one. Either way, Kareem Jackson has gotten himself embroiled in yet another controversy.
