Green Bay Packers rising star Jordan Love got himself a new fan in San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
Samuel didn’t hold back in his praise of Love when making his weekly appearance on the Up & Adams Show recently, going as far as to saying that the Packers quarterback really learned a lot from watching Aaron Rodgers in his first couple of years in the league.
It came after Love led the Packers to the playoffs by beating the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The 25-year-old QB was sensational in their 17-9 win, completing 27 of his 32 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns without an interceptions.
The win allowed the Packers to secure a playoff spot and a date with the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the postseason.
Samuel, for his part, was particularly impressed by Love’s arm power and accuracy, as he shared to Kay Adams.
“The man got an arm. I think he did a good job at watching A-Rod flick that wrist and throw the ball downfield, and be accurate for sure,” Samuel said.

It’s hard to blame Deebo Samuel for that huge praise on Jordan Love, though. After all, the Green Bay Packers star has really been impressive in the 2023 season. In his first year as a starter, he was already able to push the team to the postseason.
Samuel isn’t the only one full of admiration for Love as well. Even Aaron Rodgers himself couldn’t help but heap praise on his Green Bay predecessor, as he even called out the critics of the youngster after he propelled the Packers to victory over the Chicago Bears.
“Well, where’s all the criticism? It’s a little quiet. Lot of shit talking was going on. Now it’s real quiet. I’m proud of him. He’s a great kid,” Rodgers shared on The Pat McAfee Show early in the week.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers Now Gear for Playoffs
Sure enough, there will be plenty of eyes on Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers come the playoffs. They have the youngest offense of any team in the postseason, and they will be immediately tested by a veteran team in the Dallas Cowboys.
However, if Deebo Samuel and Aaron Rodgers’ praises are any indication, it will be wrong to count the Packers out even though they don’t have a lot of experience to be in the postseason.
It will definitely be interesting to see how Love fares in his first playoff debut as an NFL QB1.
