Aaron Rodgers has not shied away at all from talking about the Green Bay Packers this season. After the team beat the Chicago Bears in Week 18 to clinch a spot in the playoffs, Rodgers spoke out again. This time, he was more than ready to rip into Jordan Love critics.
It has been reported that Rodgers sent a brief and blunt text to Love before the game against Chicago. He simply told the Packers’ young quarterback to “go beat the Bears.”
Now, Rodgers is going to bat for his friend and former backup quarterback.
Green Bay Packers Legend Aaron Rodgers Rips Jordan Love Critics
As shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Eli Berkovitz The Pack Show podcast shared Rodgers’ quote on Love’s impressive performance to get into the postseason.
“Well, where’s all the criticism? It’s a little quiet. Lot of shit talking was going on. Now it’s real quiet. I’m proud of him. He’s a great kid.”
Rodgers definitely isn’t wrong. Earlier this season, the media was clamoring for Love to be ousted as the Packers’ starting quarterback. They were already calling him a complete bust.
Now, the hate has silenced and no one can stop talking about how the Packers have done it again. Most people have officially jumped back on the Love train.
It will be interesting to see what Love can do this week against the Dallas Cowboys. He’ll be facing arguably the toughest game of his season to date and his first playoff experience. Hopefully, he’ll be able to rise the occasion and give the Packers a chance to pull off the major upset.
