The Arizona Cardinals finally made a major roster move that could benefit the Green Bay Packers big time this offseason. Head coach Matt LaFleur has said the Packers would consider bringing in a veteran pass catcher to complement their group of mostly rookies and sophomores. They could land a special talent coming from a team in rebuild.

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Cardinals have released DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cardinals were reportedly looking to shop the All-Pro wide receiver this offseason as the veteran player wasn’t patient in waiting for Kyler Murray to return from injury in the middle of the season. The Packers were named by several media outlets as a potential trade option for Hopkins. We’ll see if the Packers make an offer for Hopkins now that he is a free agent.
