Just when it looked like NFL fans were starting to get off the tail of Green Bay Packers kicker Anders Carlson after his crucial miss in last Sunday’s NFC divisional round game against the San Francisco 49ers, his name got dragged into the limelight once again when another brutal missed kick had people buzzing anew. This time, it was the Buffalo Bills who became victims to a major kicking blunder, with Tyler Bass failing to get the ball through the uprights against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Right after Bass’ failed kick, social media went down to work to make fun of both Bass and Carlson.

In Bass’ case, he had a shot at tying the game against the Chiefs with a 44-yard FG try late in regulation. However, his kick went wide right, essentially leaving the Chiefs with the win in the bag. Carlson, on the other hand, could have extended the Green Bay Packers’ lead to seven points with a little over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Instead, his missed goal re-energized the Niners, who took the lead for good in the following drive when running back Christian McCaffrey found the end zone with his legs.
