Green Bay Packers Make Change At Running Back Prior To Week Three Vs. New Orleans Saints (Breaking)

The Green Bay Packers are looking to get back in the win column after their brutal fourth-quarter collapse against the Atlanta Falcons in Week Two.  After leading 24-12 through three quarters, the Falcons scored 13 unanswered points to steal a 25-24 win at home.  The Packers’ offense was not able to move the ball at all in the fourth quarter.

The loss of Aaron Jones in Week Two certainly impacted the offense, however, the Packers made another move at running back prior to Week Three Vs. the New Orleans Saints.

The Green Bay Packers Elevate Running Back Patrick Taylor To Active Roster For Matchup Vs. The New Orleans Saints

Patrick Taylor was promoted from the practice squad ahead of the Green Bay Packers’ Week 3 game against the New Orleans Saints.

This is the third week in a row that the Packers have elevated Taylor. The Packers’ decision to bring Taylor up for their Week three matchup against New Orleans does not necessarily mean that Aaron Jones won’t be available. Through two games, Taylor has played 20 special teams snaps, ranking 12th on the Packers.

It is likely that Taylor will play some offensive time if Jones is again unavailable due to a hamstring injury. His performance was good in pass protection and he carried the ball one time for one yard against Atlanta.

Jones hadn’t been practicing, so when he returned to practice on Thursday, fans felt hopeful. It is uncertain whether he will play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints since his practice has been limited this week. Until the injury reports are released on the day of the game, we won’t know if Jones will play.
