The Green Bay Packers have a lot more questions surrounding them than just Aaron Rodgers. Of course, the quarterback position is the most important in the sport (perhaps in all of sports), and a great deal of what the Packers will be able to do is based on what his decision will be. Regardless of who is the quarterback in Green Bay in 2023, the team will not improve on its 8-9 finish in 2022 without upgrading some key positions in 2023. While the NFL Draft will provide some new talent, the Packers will also look to free agency to add some quality veterans.
The Green Bay Packers Need a Veteran Wide Receiver (or Two)

One of the highest-profiled needs on this Packers team is the wide receiver position. After Davante Adams was traded last offseason, Green Bay drafted three wide receivers: Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure. Those three, along with Bo Melton and Jeff Cotton, make up the entirety of the Packers’ receiving room thus far for 2023. While the team may also draft a wide receiver or two in this year’s draft, it would be prudent for them also to try to sign a free agent as well.
Departing Free Agents

There are others, but these are the biggest names/the names that may be familiar to Packers fans. Obviously, it is not a strong class. It is not likely that the Packers will find a WR1 in this group. However, if Watson can become a WR1, they may find very solid second, third, or fourth options among these players.
The Green Bay Packers Currently Lack a True Tight End

Just like wide receiver, the Packers are desperately shallow on tight end depth going into 2023. As of right now, only Josiah Deguara has any NFL experience among tight ends on the Packers’ roster. Again, Green Bay will likely target two or three tight ends in the draft (a deep class, by the way), but would be best-served to also bring in a veteran true tight end.

Again, this is not a complete list of free agent tight ends, but includes the biggest names on the market as well as ones that may be familiar to most Packers fans.
