Over the last few weeks, you have seen me include some studs and duds after a Green Bay Packers game. The reason this is different today is because there were no positives from today. No one player had what I consider a really good game as the Packers fell to 2-5 after a 24-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
It was a similar story to every game outside of week one at Chicago. It was another bad game from the Green Bay Packers coaching staff. It all begins with head coach Matt LaFleur. Another first half of no touchdowns, no creativity, and not being able to get off the field on defense are just a few issues. It’s getting old and fast.
The Green Bay Packers Looked Unprepared on Offense Again

You would think by now Matt LaFleur would change the way the Green Bay Packers offense prepares for games during the week and on game day. I think most fans thought the offense would change after the bye week going into the Denver game last week. It didn’t happen and the Packers only scored three points in the first half against the worst defense in the NFL.
Going into today, you would think the offense would maybe adjust this time. That did not happen. The way this offense is approaching games during the week and game day is an absolute mess and it’s inexcusable this is continuing to happen. It starts with Matt LaFleur.
Penalties, Penalties, Penalties,

Penalties for a young team are to be expected. It takes time to get comfortable in a new system and the NFL in general. However, you need to be able to control the number of penalties. The Packers have an experienced offensive line and the amount of penalties from the offensive line are getting ridiculous.
Special teams penalties are getting out of hand too. The Packers paid special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia a ton of money to get this phase corrected. He had not done a good enough job to this point. It feels like there is a penalty on every single return. Players need to know better, but it ultimately falls on coaching.
Jobs Need to be Lost if This Continues to Happen

I know a lot of fans want Joe Barry gone. I am in the camp that was against the Green Bay Packers bringing the defensive coordinator back. There’s now been shouts to have offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich and even head coach Matt LaFleur fired as well.
No coaches are going to get fired in-season unless the organization believes there is an individual they believe can do a better job. Matt LaFleur has also earned the right to finish the season. Joe Barry and Adam Stenavich I believe are a different story.
At the end of the day, these are human beings and it’s wrong for anyone to root for someone to be unemployed. However, this team, while young, is not improving at all. You could argue they are getting worse. If that doesn’t improve by the end of the season, then someone has to fall on the sword. Coaches will always get fired before the players. That’s how the business works.
