The Green Bay Packers may have another coach who is up and coming in the ranks of the NFL. This time it would come in the form of an offensive coordinator position in the AFC. On January 19th, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Tennessee Titans requested an interview with the Denver Broncos’ Justin Outten. The interview is for their next offensive coordinator. Outten most recently was the Broncos’ offensive coordinator, but Green Bay Packers fans will remember him as their tight end coach from 2019 to 2021.
Justin Outten Is A Candidate For Tennessee Titan’s Offensive Coordinator
Justin Outten (pronounced OW-ten) spent three seasons directing Green Bay’s productive tight end group. This included Robert Tonyan’s recording setting season in 2020. He finished 2020 with 52 catches for 586 yards and 11 touchdowns. Before joining the Packers staff, Outten was an offensive assistant with the Atlanta Falcons from 2016-18 with an emphasis on the O-line.
The Baltimore Ravens will interview Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Justin Outten for their open OC position, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Pelissero also reported that the Los Angeles Rams also put in a request to interview Outten. L.A. has an opening at offensive coordinator after losing Liam Coen to the University of Kentucky. The former Green Bay Packers’ coach is getting attention from all over the league.
