The Packers’ offense is going through some struggles, especially in the passing game. The solution for the offense that many people are advocating for is running the ball. With Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, the Packers have shown they can get yards on the ground. However, week after week, Jones consistently gets single digits touches. A former Packer roasted Matt LaFleur’s playcalling this morning.
Former Packer Roasts Matt LaFleur’s Playcalling
Would love to see the Packers trade for him. Can you imagine him AND Aaron Jones getting 4 touches per game?! https://t.co/YtfeHsdFrb

The Packers are not the only team that is struggling right now. The New Orleans Saints have had their share of troubles this season and that has led to many wondering whether they would trade star running back Alvin Kamara. Former Packer Tom Crabtree took this rumor and spun it to make fun of Matt LaFleur’s playcalling for the Packers. He wants to see the Packers trade for him and then LaFleur not use him. “Can you imagine him AND Aaron Jones getting 4 touches a game?!” he tweeted out. Obviously, Crabtree doesn’t actually think that the Packers should go and get Kamara but he is pointing out that even if the Packers had the most talented backfield in the league, LaFleur still probably wouldn’t run the ball.
Will Aaron Jones Get More Touches Today?
We’ve heard it now for three weeks. LaFleur gives the same old comments week after week about how it is on him to get Jones more involved. However, when game time comes, he seems to forget that Jones is on the team. The first drive against the Commanders last week featured a lot of plays called for Jones. Lo and behold they scored a touchdown. After that, Jones disappeared from the play calls. It is extremely strange that it is the same story every week. At some point, fans hope LaFleur wakes up and remembers that he has a talented running back on his team.
In struggling times, it is fun to see players making these types of jokes. Jokes help the frustration of the situation have less of an impact. The Packers coaching staff has to be on top of their game today against the Bills. Hopefully, Aaron Jones will be a big part of the game plan today.
